Builder Cheating

A man called the office looking for a Private Detective. He told us he was at his wits end. His wife was having an affair. He said that she thought she was clever as no one else knew about it but our client heard her telling one of her friends on the phone. We asked him if he knew who the person was. He told us that he was not sure but it could be one of the builders working at his house. He said that his wife had hired the same firm on three different occasions. Our client also said that he quite often worked away on business and she could be doing anything.

We talked through the situation with our client and got him to tell us about all the reasons he was suspicious. He was mostly suspicious of the guy that owned the business. He said he was the type of man that his wife would fancy. She was a board housewife with money to burn. She likes a good time and gets board easily. Our client was due to be away for two weeks so we decided to do the surveillance while he was away. Our client also wanted us to put CTTV cameras in the house so he could see what she was doing while he was out of the house.

During the surveillance we had a good view of the front of the house. We could see which of the builders were on site and what they were doing. The Target was in the house and the builder that owned the company. The other builders had all been sent somewhere else for the day so the Target and the owner builder had the house to themselves. They did not come out of the house all day. We could see by the CCTV that they were in the bedroom most of the time.

We made a report including video and photographic evidence and gave it to our client. He has sacked the builders and asked his wife to leave.
